What is Enquad?

.

BY KRR WILLIAMS

It’s (sort of) in the vernacular of graphic designers

An en quad is a squared en space. The latter is a typographical unit of measure equal to half the height of a font’s point size — half an em quad. Usually this is the width of the lowercase letter “n” (half the distance of the letter “m”). So, typographically speaking, the en space of a 14-point font is 7 points (72 points per inch). An en quad is the same distance horizontally and vertically.

The idea of space that is not quite the full distance well represents the Enquad experience. Members enjoy a quality work environment while paying only a fraction of its value.
